Apparently intermediate in characters between Crataegus punctata and C. crus-galli, and may represent a hybrid between them (Lance, 1995). Several records from the early 1900's.
Habitat
No habitat is given for our few specimens. Rare in the mountains; known only from historical collections in Augusta, Rockingham, and Scott counties.
