Comments
This species is endemic to two disjunct areas in the Nashville basin of central Tennessee and extreme southwestern Virginia. Named and described by J.L. Collins and T.F. Wieboldt. See Castanea 57 (4): 282-286 (1992).
Habitat
Rocky limestone woodlands and barrens in The Cedars region of Lee County. Frequent in suitable habitats here.
