- Collected by Fernald (1939) in a sphagnous bog near Dahlia, in Greensville County (site now destroyed); currently known from three boggy powerline clearings, in Greensville, Isle of Wight, and Southampton counties. Rare, inner Coastal Plain of se. Virginia, south of the James River.
