- Stream banks, gravel bars, open seeps, and impoundment shores; often in seasonally flooded habitats that draw down during the growing season. Rare in the mountains. The Faquier occurrence is in a restored stormwater retention basin with a mix of naturally occurring and planted species. It was not planted there but is probably a seed contaminant.
