- Found by Allen Belden, June 2002, along Aquia Creek at Quantico Marine Base; reported as new to Virginia in Castanea 69:150-151 (2004).
- Habitat
- Fissures of bedrock outcrop in the channel shelf of Aquia Creek, Stafford Co. The habitat is seasonally inundated and frequently flood-scoured. Rare, Piedmont.
