- This species is reported as an introduction in several southeastern states. It must be regarded as an infrequent adventive in Virginia until proven otherwise.
- Habitat
- Reported by Steury (Banisteria 37, 2011) as a well established escape in a Fairfax County forest. Also documented from disturbed forests in several other counties, primarily but not exclusively in urban or suburban areas.
